2nd September – Nicole Perrott Hughes

Last Friday saw the
first of our Local Talent spots and we were treated to a rare combination of
warmth and creativity from Nicole Perrott Hughes.  I know we all love the old
classics but it was a welcome change to listen to a set of such well written
songs performed with such charm.

Nicole was supported by the stalwart
Sim(e)on’s, John, Betty and Pete who plundered their back catalogues with
piratical glee to keep proceedings on an even keel.   The raffle saw the
appearance of Simon’s Mum’s flapjack for the first time and apparently she is
still fretting over whether it was a good batch or not.

All in all a
fantastic night and a great end to the Summer season.

On 16th September we kick off our second autumn season with Bring Some Folk Night. If you haven’t been for a while or you are just curious this is your chance to come along and find out what we are about. Our usual performer’s night format will be complemented by a few extra surprises. A very warm welcome awaits old friends and new.
