Wednesday 2nd of September-Rob Roberts
Rob Roberts is no stranger to Shirley Folk Club as he is the phenomenal guitar and bass player with Juniper and he also visits us regularly with the wonderful instrumental trio,O’Sullivan,Hammond and Roberts.
Rob on this occasion will be introducing us to his fabulous skills as a solo guitarist and it will be a great evening of music.

Wednesday 16th of September-Kelly Wade.
Kelly is a West Midlands based singer of traditional song and she performs them perfectly. So again a great evening of music in Shirley and of course, plenty of opportunities to sing-a-long.

Wednesday 7th of October-O’Sullivan,Hammond and Roberts.
The trio version of Juniper are back and it will be great. Featuring Dominic O’Sullivan, on whistles and maybe even pipes and clarinet, Aidan Hammond on percussion and Rob Roberts, bass and guitar.
Be sure to bring your best foot tapping shoes because you will almost certainly need them!.

Wednesday 21st of October–60’s and 70’s Acoustic theme
We hold these theme nights twice a year, when we turn the whole evening over to floor singers performing some of their favourite songs from the 60’s and 70’s. It’s always fabulous and nothing else to say really.

Russell Gain and David Thatcher are the Melancholy Brothers and to our regular visitors, really need no introduction. For those who haven’t seen them before however, not only do they write and and perform their own brilliant songs but also play quite superb acoustic covers of music,especially from the 70’s and 80’s.

Wednesday 18th of November–Scarlet Astudillo
Just as we are starting to get a little fed up with the winter weather, we are delighted to be bring a little bit of sunshine to Shirley, with a truly authentic Bossa Nova set performed by the wonderful singer-guitarist Scarlet Astudillo.
So this just might be a night for sitting back,closing your eyes and you might just find yourself transported all the way back to a sunny 1960’s Copacabana beach.

Wednesday 2nd of December–Vo Fletcher
We are so delighted to be welcoming Vo Fletcher to Shirley Folk Club.
Vo is a truly outstanding guitarist and singer who has played with an abundance of fine musicians that include,Nigel Kennedy,The Albion Morris Band, Fairport Convention,Dave Swarbrick,Catherine Howe and Ray Jackson of Lindisfarne.
So another evening of truly brilliant live acoustic music is coming to Shirley.

Wednesday 16th of December–Christmas Party ! Almost as traditional as Christmas itself, it’s that time of the year when floor singers are invited to perform their favourite Christmas songs,members of the Club’s Committee have yet another crack at Twelve Day’s and free mince pies are in abundance.
