Another great evening

We enjoyed another fine evening of entertainment on Friday with great music and good company. The first half featured Paul, Geoff, Dave, Mike and Laura plus Simeon with a lovely performance of two songs as he prepared to perform at the John Denver fan club at the weekend. The highlight however was a beautiful solo performance by Barry who, in Ed’s absence, sang two songs unaccompanied including the lovely Eldorado.

A rather fine Easter egg was snapped up by Simeon in the raffle before the music started again with the second half featuring Sam, Tommy, Simeon and two thirds of Where’s Mary. We also enjoyed a very different performance from Diane who was accompanied by Dan, the latest talented guitarist in her many collaborations. Dave ended the evening in fine style leaving us all feeling uplifted and ready to bounce home (although some of us went via the bar).

The planned meeting on 18th April has now been cancelled as this is Good Friday and nobody is around to run the evening so we do it all again on 2nd May.
