Storming set from John Crittenden

When we decided that it was time to feature a few regular players this season John Crittenden was first on the list. He certainly didn’t let us down with a blistering set of songs and a really infectious enthusiasm that set the tone for the whole night.

The first half saw Simon open and Pete bravely taking the second spot. Finbar gave us poems including a particularly memorable tale of Devonian glass work. The Tuesday Club recovered from Simon locking them out in the cold only to find they were on in the wrong half but manfully performed anyway with their lovely harmonies. A rare appearance from Nick saw the Dougie spot stolen for a night and Tarmac and Robbo wrapped up the half. After John’s set in the second half Simeon conjured the romantic age followed by Tommy & Nick, Diane and of course the inimitable Barry and Ed.

Next club Paul is hosting a Performers Night on the 7th February. Floor spots aplenty so come and play.
