Betty steals the show!

Another fine evening was enjoyed by all last night with some great songs and excellent singing from everyone in the room. The star of the evening was definitely Betty who entertained us with stories and songs before producing an unbelievable array of shaky bangy instruments from a Mary Poppins style bag that seemed to be completely impossible to empty! Betty also triumphed in the raffle, taking home the very last novelty toilet roll warning all males to put the seat down! There will be a new ultimate raffle prize coming up next time – what will it be? I hear you ask – well, you know where you have to be on the first and third Friday of every month to find out!!

A big welcome back to Andrew and Nigel who we have not seen for a while. Good to see you both strutting your stuff again!

A big welcome too to those who came for the first time – you must be wondering what was going on! For those who insisted they weren’t going to sing I thought the renditions of verses one and two in Wild Rover were particularly fine!

April is one of those months with five Fridays so we have two weeks with no club now. Next up will be a very special concert night with Isambarde who will definitely get your feet tapping and put a smile on your face. 6th May is the date not to be missed.
